Theft or Fraud
Workplace fraud and theft is not just limited to stealing money or actual products; it also can take the form of:
- stealing an organisations intellectual property;
- undercharging or giving ‘special discounts’;
- incorrect time sheet recordings;
- using work time for personal matters;
- altering or creating fake documents;
- fraudulent refunding; or
- receiving gifts or commissions from suppliers.
Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment encompasses a broad range of physical, written or verbal behaviour, which can include, but is not limited to the following:
- unwelcome physical contact or attempted physical contact
- obscene phone calls, indecent exposure and sexual assault (criminal offences)
- comments that have sexual meanings or innuendo
- asking for sex or sexual favours
- sexual gestures & body movements
- insults or jokes of a sexual nature;
- offensive printed material, screen savers etc
Workplace Bullying
Bullying behaviour can be obvious and aggressive. Examples could include:
- Abusive, insulting or offensive language;
- Behaviour or language that frightens, humiliates, belittles or degrades;
- Teasing or regularly making someone the brunt of practical jokes;
- Displaying material that is degrading or offending;
- Spreading gossip, rumours and innuendo of a malicious nature.
